What I assume is a West German Opel Omega/ Vauxhall Carlton on the right of a picture of otherwise eastern European cars?

A lot of western money -Swedish I think – was coming into the reconstruction of Dresden in the late 80s, and there were quite a few Volvos scattered around, plus a few cars with D registrations, as there was tourism also to the Inter Hotels in Pragerstrasse. I remember a large Luxembourg registered Gold Wing Honda motorbike which was the centre of attention parked outside one Hotel.

This photo has been misattributed – the Cinesound Studios were at Bondi Junction, not Moore Park.

Yes, sorry, Ebley Street, Bondi Junction
